This modern sports complex on Haukego-Bosaka Street in Wrocław belongs to the Aleksander Fredro High School No. XIII.
More than 60 thousand pieces of white Venus bricks from the LHL Klinkier range were used for its façade.
The 810m2 building includes a multi-purpose sports hall, gym, fitness and dance rooms, as well as a fencing room.
The gymnasiums are stacked on top of each other like blocks to make use of the small plot space. And the sports block is tied together by a link at first-floor level with the high school buildings.
Importantly, the halls can be used not only by students, but also – after school hours and at weekends – by local residents.
The project is designed by the ARCH_IT studio from Wrocław and has already received the Brick Award 2017.
The construction of the complex is also one of the stages of the revitalization of this part of the Oławskie Przedmieście.
