This beautiful house was built next to a forest, not far from the Paprocany lake in Tychy – one of the most popular places for outdoor recreation in the Silesian Voivodeship.
The intention of the owners and the architects was to design a brick house that refers to the building traditions of the region. Classic clinker bricks from the Patoka range were used throughout its façade.
The house project is a combination of 3 separate buildings with a mono-pitched roof, incorporating a different function:
– Serving house – from the garage, utility area and study area
– Living house – living room with mezzanine floor
– Night house – bedroom with dressing rooms and bathrooms
All 3 parts are connected by a glazed link – a mini-venue.
“The architecture of the house and the leisure part of the garden fits naturally with the layout of the estate and the existing trees on the site, forming a birch forest. The palette of finishing materials for the walls of the house, the window joinery used, the surfaces of the paths and the driveway are a calm, balanced, peaceful and natural composition of colours and textures, complementing the existing surroundings and landscape” (Studniarek and Pilinkiewicz).
