The table presented below shows that even taking into account a 10 years period time, the use of a clinker façade proves to be a much cheaper solution than covering a house with plaster.
Brick wall of a one-storey building with an area of 100m² (sample solutions – construction and maintenance costs assuming that the plaster elevation is refreshed every 5 years).
The comparison clearly shows that while the initial cost of construction may be slightly higher at the beginning, the cost of constructing and maintaining a brick wall is almost half the cost of analogous walls built with other technologies.
In addition, if we decide to use three-layer walls, we can significantly reduce the noise level in the interior, due to their excellent properties in terms of sound insulation and that is difficult to price. Below we present a comparison of annual maintenance costs of a building constructed in single-layer and three-layer wall technology with the use of different types of fuel.
Detached house with usable attic of 120 square meters living area located in Bydgoszcz. The number of residents: 3.
The table presented above proves that choosing three-layer wall technology allows to save almost PLN 2000 a year.
Obviously, brick is a material which will pay us back for many years, maintaining great quality and, what cannot be overestimated, equally great look. It is not a cost – it is an investment!
